Well, I finally got around to working on the site. The main pages have been reworked, and are getting closer to what I am looking for. The Gallery software has been updated to the latest version as well, which will allow some exciting additions in the future.

Future plans:

1) Allow the gallery to be searched by location and bird name (common and scientific).

2) Once the new search functionality is in place, increase the number of birds in the gallery.

3) Expand the number of pictures that have an audio link associated with them. We have a ton of recordings, just need to modify the software to make linking them up easier to maintain.

4) Explore creating an expanded gallery section that contains birds from around the world. I have an archive of ~8000 images going back a few years on bird-pix (a yahoo group), and have been toying with the idea of putting them online in a fully searchable gallery. The copyright issues could be a little tricky, but I figure that I'll include only the ones that people on the group have explicitly given me permission to make available.
